Is it just me, or does heat drain your energy too? I’ve been feeling a lot drained lately, which has directly impacted my productivity. I’d have an adrenaline rush for ideas I need to work on, but I can’t work much due to the heat. I’m very resistant to heat, so I can’t handle it. Sometimes, I cry when it’s too hot. That’s just me🙃. But, the heat isn’t the reason why my newsletter didn’t drop yesterday. Brethren, abeg no vex 🙏🏽 .
Well, a couple of sharks ate the undersea cables which caused fluctuations in the network recently and so, I was badly affected yesterday☹. No be Tinubu cause am sha😂😂.
Anywaysssss, welcome back to Dami’s Discoveries fam! It’s been a long, exhaustive week, but I thank God I’m back here😗. To you who’s been fasting or not, how are you, on this hot day? Guess who got a new pair of glassessssss💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾. Meeeee🎉🎉😂. And finally, I can see so clearly. In the space of 5 days of seeing like grandmas, a whole lot happened. Crazy, but I got lost in Idumota Market😂.
Now, if you’ve been to Idumota Market, you’d know it’s a humongous place and if you no sabi road, you fit just lost😪. On this graceful day, I didn’t go to that market alone, I was with my mum. And this hadn’t been my first or second time going to that market. I typically go there with her at least twice a month. So, I ought to have known my way around abi. NOPE😂😂 The only difference on this day, was that I didn’t have my glassesss😭. I was walking right behind her o, and then those abokis that carry things on their head needed to pass, and as the nice girl I am, I decided to give way for them to pass, before them use carton knack my head comot😭😂.
Before I knew it, omo, I no see mumsy again. Ha! Maamiii😭😭. I first went into panic mode, then paranoia😂. I started walking forward, thinking she was ahead, but I couldn’t even really see. Then, I started walking back. I didn’t see her too. At that point, small small tears started dropping o, but I needed to compose myself so that ‘gbomo gbomo’ won’t target me🤭. I sha circled the area like thrice before she eventually found me. Mehn, I cried oceans when we met o😭😂. I didn’t even know that I’d cry like that o. I thank God sha 🤲🏽.
How do you feel when someone comes into your DM and starts to ask about your well-being without even introducing their self? I know you hate it, cos you then have to ask who it is and they start playing those useless ‘guess- who’ games. It’s a very very dull, childish, and bad attitude and I hate it. Another set of useless people are those, ‘Your friend gave me your number, but I can’t tell you who’ people. As how na? I swear, blocking quickly. Nigeria is giving me enough troubles already, I can’t add you to it o.
Do you like mints?
Not sweets o, I mean new, bad-smelling notes🤭. I love them so much😍 and so, I can’t allow you to disrespect mint notes in front of me. Nahhhh, just don’t🙏🏽.
That's how I bought moi-moi from this woman and I didn’t have any old notes, so I gave her 3 mint notes- ₦2,500. This woman squeezed my mint notes immediately and put them in her apron😭😭😭. Ah! Madam why did you do this to meeee?💔😪 From then on, I’ve made a mental decision to only spend my mints at places or on people who deserve them. I’m talking weddings, supermarkets, social events, you gettt?🤭😂😂
So, our pumping machine suddenly stopped working and for like 3 days, someone had to be bringing water to our house😪. PHCN decided to switch up on us and didn’t restore light all night too😭. No light, no water 🤝🏽
There’s one reason I've never had a flair for politics. It’s a very sick and shady business and sometimes, due to the bad energy that surrounds it, even people with good intentions have to give in to the whims and caprices of the existing people😪. Just take a look at the entire budget padding issue recently. I didn’t even make sense one bit🤦🏽♀️. Honestly, I just feel politics is just a sick, twisted game😑
